Turner

JMW Turner was a British landscape artist whose style was said to have laid the groundwork for Impressionism. He often painted shipwrecks, fires, natural catastrophes, and was seemingly obsessed with the power of the sea. He also painted natural phenomena such as sunlight, storms, rain, and even fog. The hallmark styles of his paintings are an intensity of hue and interest in vanishing light. Our Turner paintings include Rain Steam and Speed – The Great Western Railway, The Fighting Temeraire Tugged To Her Last Berth To Be Broken Up, and more!
